Sorry for the late post, but thanks to Jim Kallio for upgrading the web page!
We are playing tennis at 4:30 PM this Sunday, November 9th, at Fox Cities Racquet Club

I’m proud to tell you that this Sunday is Jonna and Tim’s thirty-fifth wedding anniversary! No cards or gifts are necessary – but you might want to share your condolences with Jonna and congratulate me. I can attest to the benefits of “marrying up!”
Last Sunday we had ten players on two courts. If we’d had more players the club had an extra court available. I can’t guarantee that will be true this Sunday, but if we consistently have twelve or more show up, I’m sure we can reserve an additional court.
Please let me know if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions.

Hi,
Thanks to Nick Hill for suggesting the idea of a tennis group website and to Jim Kallio for making it happen! Since you’re reading this post you have received my email with the web link to, https://tennistime.kalliofamily.org/. From now on I will post information about our Sunday (and Thursday, beginning next spring) weekly gatherings. This will eliminate the need for me to send two identical emails from different addresses in order to be sure everyone gets the message. Of course, if you need to contact me you can still use my email, tim.higgins@chirhoservices.com, or cell number, 920-716-8596.
Yesterday afternoon we had eleven players show-up for our first indoor session of the fall/winter. We used two courts and rotated servers out after they finished serving a game. It worked well and everyone got to play with everyone else.
The Fox Cities Racquet Club has reserved two courts for us on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 to 6. Yesterday a third court was available if we had needed it.
We’ll be playing indoors again next Sunday afternoon, November 2nd, beginning at 4:30. I hope you can make it.
Regards, Tim
Our outdoor tennis season is over until next spring.

Hi,
It’s been a pleasure enjoying the warm(ish) weather while playing doubles on Thursdays and Sundays. However, now that the sun’s going down before 6 PM and the temperature is dropping below 50 degrees, it’s time to wrap the outdoor matches up for 2025. I’ll contact the Club tomorrow and see if we can reserve a couple of courts from 4:30 to 6 PM on Sunday afternoons. I’ll let you know ASAP.
As you know, I’ve been having a problem with delivery of email messages sent from my chirhoservices.com account. That’s why, once again, you may be getting duplicate emails from different addresses. My support people tell me that one thing I can do to fix the problem is to send messages to fewer people. So, please email me IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN ON THE LIST. In your response let me know if you want to be on both the Sunday list (for the winter) and/or if you’d like to be on the Thursday list when we get back outside in the spring. I will delist those I don’t hear from.
I want to thank everyone for being great sportspeople. The attitude of everyone our group was positive (even when I made bad calls about rainy weather) and cooperative. I really enjoyed the camaraderie. Finally, a big shout out to Jonna, who puts up with my scheduling her for three hours of tennis each week and then makes sure I get there on time!
Have a wonderful holiday season, stay healthy, and join us on Sundays.
Tim
